JR Manulid, Tony to some, is a Multimedia Arts student under the School of Design and Arts of De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde. He formerly attended Lyceum of the Philippines and the University of Santo Tomas on their Political Science Programs.

His goal in multimedia arts is to specialize in Print, Web Design, Video Production and Photography. Photography drove him to take multimedia arts, after not being allowed to take AB Photography because he is a transferee. Ever since he learned the how-to’s of photography, He has been interested in Human subjects. A collection of his works can be seen here.

A “designer” on the grounds of concept, not aesthetics, he declines to join the maximalist vector art bandwagon and hates mis-stretched and pixelated works. Some of his works have been lauded by professionals in their respective fields.

His musical inclination is highlighted by playing the guitar, bass, and the drums.

An array of unpublished works are still on his keep, waiting for the day that they get published.

He has been on the internet since the rise of BobOngPinoy.com in 1998, (yes, people, before they were books, those things you read inside National Bookstore and Powerbooks are internet articles) and its propagator, Bob Ong whom he considered as a style-model for a while. He started his first blog in 2004, and have been writing online since then. His thoughts can be read here.

His skills on web design is honed through years of editing pre-made CSS templates. Because of that, he opts to use no other scripting format. This site was made with CSS and photoshop through and through. And he can’t use Adobe Dreamweaver properly.

He’s trying to deal with it, though. And he’s trying to lean new coding languages through books and the internetz (the power!) JR/Tony is rarely seen without his headphones, his glasses, and his goatee. Hence, his logo is based on these things.

Tony Romualdez is his nom de plume. That aside, he keeps a few more pseudonyms which cannot be disclosed at the moment.
